Tosha Habig MSW, LSW

Hi! I’m Tosha (they/she), a licensed social worker in Ohio. I received my clinical training at NKU, where I earned my Master's in Social Work, along with micro-credentials in Trauma-Focused Care. I specialize in working with the queer community and am deeply passionate about advocating for and providing gender-affirming care to individuals exploring their gender identity. As a late-in-life lesbian and non-binary transmasculine person, I bring not only professional expertise but also lived experience to my practice. I understand firsthand the challenges and the transformative power of embracing one’s true self.

I am also proud to identify as BIPOC, and I work through an anti-oppression, social justice lens. I am committed to creating a space where individuals from all marginalized communities—especially queer, trans, and non-binary people of color—can find healing, affirmation, and empowerment. I acknowledge the intersectionality of identities and work to address how systems of oppression, racism, and discrimination impact mental health and self-worth. My approach is rooted in understanding how structural injustices shape individuals' lived experiences, and I am passionate about providing support that is both affirming and liberation-focused.

In addition to my work with sexuality & gender identity, I also have extensive experience supporting clients in healing from religious trauma. I know how deeply religious conditioning can affect self-worth, identity, and your relationship with the world around you. Healing from these experiences is deeply personal and complex, and I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space to help process and recover from the wounds that come with religious trauma.

I work with  ages 16 & up helping them navigate the journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance. My goal is to help you process how to live a life that is most authentic to yourself. Authenticity is linked to greater life satisfaction, better relationships, and higher self-esteem and self-worth. Whether you're navigating your gender identity, exploring sexuality, coping with the impacts of religious trauma, or struggling with internalized shame and rejection, I’m here to support you.

Everyone deserves to feel like they are enough, just as they are. In our work together, we’ll explore and address the negative impacts that have shaped your sense of self and reinforce the positive messages that support your true identity. Together, we’ll work to rediscover your voice, reclaim your power, and move toward healing.

If you're ready to take the next step in your healing journey, I invite you to reach out. Let’s work together to help you live authentically and fully embrace who you are.
