Hi, I’m Emilie! I’m a neurodivergent therapist who works with teens (age 14 and up) and adults. I help clients navigate the balance of taking steps toward change and growth while finding and honoring a sense of acceptance and self-love for who you already are.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of therapy. I work to show up as my authentic self in every session so that my clients can, too. Most often, I can be found sitting in some sort of contorted pretzel shape and fidgeting with my thinking putty. I practice from an identity-affirming and trauma-informed lens, and am trained in several therapy modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), somatic/body centered work, and mindfulness. I love incorporating humor into my work and finding laughter in honesty about the otherwise dark and challenging parts of life.
Outside of the therapy room, my interests include exploring all things local, reading, creative writing, over-analyzing Taylor Swift lyrics, cuddling up with my dogs and cat, spending time with my family, teaching and practicing yoga, and constantly planning my next creative project.
