Emiley Morton DSW, LISW-S, LCSW
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of sitting with people during some of the most pivotal and painful moments of their lives—helping them make sense of their stories, unlearn harmful narratives, and reclaim the parts of themselves they were once told to hide. Whether holding space for someone navigating late-diagnosis grief or walking with a client through deep trauma recovery, my work centers on presence, trust, and the belief that healing begins when we reclaim the stories we were taught to fear. I’m most at home in the hard, tender, messy places where real healing happens.
These experiences shape my current practice, where I specialize in Autism, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, and emotional regulation challenges related to anxiety, mood stabilization, and stress management. I am also very passionate about working with individuals in the midst of depression, and provide collaborative care for those struggling with treatment resistant depression. I also provide affirming assessments and documentation for adults seeking gender-affirming medical procedures—always free of charge, because gender-affirming care saves lives. For a gender affirming care letter appointment, please reach out through the contact page.
I’m a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) with over a decade of experience walking alongside individuals navigating complex trauma, neurodivergence, and identity exploration. My doctoral work at the University of Southern California focused on empowering neurodivergent practitioners to provide affirming, client-centered care—an approach that deeply reflects my own lived experience as a high-masking, late-diagnosed neurodivergent person.
I’m especially passionate about reducing medical bias by trusting individuals as the experts in their own experiences. Far too often, medical care relies on outdated research, which is further impeded by practitioner bias and a systemic ignoring of the individual and their needs. My approach integrates accurate diagnosis with compassionate, identity-affirming treatment that centers your voice, autonomy, and lived reality.
I currently have limited therapy openings for clients in Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida. Sessions are $180 for 60 minutes, and longer sessions are welcome by request! I keep a small caseload to ensure greater flexibility in caring for you well. I do not offer a sliding scale. If you feel like we might be a good fit, reach out to schedule a brief consultation—I’d be honored to connect with you. Please reach out through the contact page to get started!
