Brooke Hayden MSW, LSW
Hello! I’m Brooke (she/her), a licensed social worker in Ohio and in Kentucky. I received my Masters of Social Work at Northern Kentucky University as well as my Bachelors degree in Psychology.
My prior experience includes working with people that have experienced homelessness and severe and persistent mental illnesses (SPMI) such as Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder. I also have experience with the LGBTQIA+ community and am very passionate about allowing and creating a safe space to be oneself. I also have worked for the UC Medical Center ER assessing patients who are suicidal or who have attempted suicide.
This society is founded on classism, racism, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia. It lacks safe spaces for those who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, who are neurodivergent, and those who are non-white. As a woman who identifies as bisexual, I understand how it feels to be looked at as a fraud or attention-seeking. I understand what it’s like to not be trusted to know who I am.
Are you simply exhausted by the way society treats you? Are you sick and tired that something so simple as acceptance is so difficult to find? I am passionate about supporting my clients while they navigate the societal issues weighing heavy on them. I am also passionate about trauma-informed care and supporting those who are facing suicidal ideation.
